With voice technology becoming more viable, Bank of America tasked my team to overhaul their mobile app experience. Enter project: MoneyPenny, a new app concept with integrated voice functionality to improve usability and increase engagement.
After a complete IA and UX overhaul, we developed a completely new UI structure that allowed for both traditional touch navigation as well as a voice assistant overlay. While BofA eventually chose to move in a different direction, a lot of our work and thinking influenced the final integration of AI-powered chatbot “Erica” into the mobile app experience.
